PRS-Neoloy® System
The PRS-Neoloy® Cellular Confinement System is a high-strength, three-dimensional cell structure that expands into a honeycomb-like formation. Through its geometry, material confinement, and exceptional rigidity, it provides reliable long-term reinforcement for soil and pavement structures.
PRS Geotechnologies, the developer of PRS-Neoloy, began by studying the civil engineering potential of geocells after observing the military use of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) geocells. Within a few years, HDPE-based projects began to fail. It became clear that HDPE did not offer the long-term strength required for infrastructure applications, prompting PRS to develop a new nanopolymeric alloy known as Neoloy®.
The PRS-Neoloy System is engineered specifically for infrastructure projects requiring full life-cycle durability, backed by a 75-year guarantee.
Neoloy has been successfully used for 29 years, in more than 10,000 projects across 81 countries worldwide.
STRUCTURES REINFORCED WITH PRS-NEOLOY
Structures reinforced with the PRS-Neoloy® System offer significant advantages compared to conventional stabilization methods:
- Reduced embankment and pavement layer thicknesses.
- Increased modulus and structural performance.
- Lower construction and long-term maintenance costs.
- Simple installation that shortens construction schedules.
- Reduced carbon emissions.
- Effective stabilization under any water table condition—rain, flooding, saturated soils, and more.
